Windows Server 2019 won't start

Post by Zosski »

Hello,

Recently my coworker provided VirtualBox machine image for me, I import this machine and tried to lunch it but when I see Windows logo screen at startup it's crashing..
Other ppl doesn't have any problems with this image

I tried multiple things like:
enabling/disabling hyper-V in host OS
Updating graphic card drivers

In VM settings:
enabling/disabling 3d acceleration
enabling/disabling PAE/NX
enabling/disabling Nasted Paging
changing virtualization interface
disabling USB controller/network devices

VBox.log in attachments

I'll be glad for any suggestions that could fix the issue

This particular VM has had so many changes it'll be best to scrap it and re-import.

Right-click the VM in the VM list, choose Remove, then Delete all the files.

If your co-worker is also using Virtualbox, they do not have to go through export/import, they can just give you a copy of their VM's folder while the VM is shut down, and you can register the VM through he Virtualbox window's Machine menu Add command, and browse to the VM's .vbox file.

Disabling Hyper-V will make the VM work better.

Try again with a fresh copy of the VM, and re-post a zipped log if you have trouble.

And use the Win2016 template, as indicated in so many discussions about this already.
