No Resolution Higher Than 1280 x 960 Available

Hello Expert,

I am using Win10 64bit, virtualbox 6.1.20 version, guest env is win7 64bit.
I have installed Oracle VM VirtualBox Guest Additions 6.1.20 installed, No Resolution Higher Than 1280 x 960 Available
could you please help to solve this issue

I read this post, but haven't found solution, my host resolution is 1920x1080

On the contrary, you have exactly the "stuck in 4:3" problem discussed in the other topic.

Hello mpack,

thanks for your reply, I had drag the border to 1920, and shutdown guest, and restart from VM.
the larger resolution change to 1537x711, it still stuck at 4:3 resolution, could you please describe solution more detail?

Andy, please try an experiment: Put the VM in Full Screen (under the VM window's View menu). See if the VM reports 1920x1080. Then, take the VM out of full-screen and see if 16x9-ish screen sizes are still available.
