Hello,
How does Virtualbox 6.1 manage shared folder permissions for individual users inside Windows guest OS?
Using VirtualBox UI to create a shared folder is straightforward and once VM is loaded the shared folder is available for the logged in user using file explorer. However, when running an application inside the VM as "LocalSystem" user, the application is not able to view the shared folder. How can I configure "LocalSystem" account to be able to see shared folder?
Both host and guest OS is running Windows 10.

Re: Shared folder, user and permission
VirtualBox is not involved. You would have the same problem if both machines were physical PCs. Permissions are controlled by the OS. VirtualBox just provides a mechanism to allow the guest to see the shared file on the host.
There are not a lot of people who really understand how Windows permissions work and I am certainly not one of them.
