Hi all,
My VMs hangs after I upgraded my Virtualbox version from 6.1.16 to 6.1.18 after I see the windows logo during bootup and after awhile the screen turns black and become unresponsive to clicks for an extended period of time.
There are no error messages that pop up which made troubleshooting difficult to do. I have also attached my logfiles along with this post.
I have made the following attempts to rectify the issue but it didn't work:
1)Create a brand new VM from scratch but the brand new VM is unable to boot as well. (Same problem)
2)I have also attempted to uninstall 6.1.18, reboot and install back 6.1.16.
3) I have attempted to disable Hyper-V on my hosts following the post on this forum
My current setup:
Windows 10 host: AMD Ryzen 7 2700, 32GB RAM 64bit system.
Windows 10 guest: See attached picture.
Will appreciate it if someone can help me out as I am new to using VirtualBox. Please feel free to let me know if I missed out on any information.

I'll bet you also have a green turtle with a V on its back on your vm screen.

Those two lines are in your log too.

Hi Bill.
Thanks for your reply.
I do not have any picture appearing at the screen. The screen stays black and do not respond to mouse/keystrokes.
I have also attempted to follow the instructions to turn off Hyper-V on my PC, but it didn't work.

Even with a black screen, you should see the turtle. It is an icon in the status bar below the screen. It is normally a white V on a blue background, but if the Windows hypervisor is running, you will see a green turtle with a V on its back.
Did you try the bcdedit command to prevent the hypervisor loading? Did you do a cold boot as instructed?
