I'm getting the same problem.
My host is a Dell XPS 9300. 16 GB. Intel i7.
Ubuntu 20.04 - Kernel 5.8.0-40-generic.
The VirtualBox was installed from VirtualBox's repository. Version 6.1.18.
When running Windows (desktop or server version), the Guest OS reboots unexpectedly.
I attached my VBox.log file.
The problem doesn't happens when my Guest OS is a Linux distributions (Ubuntu, Kali, ...).

Windows 10 VM crashing on VirtulalBox 6.1
There was some solution for this issue?
I'm having the same random crashes when my Guest OS is Windows 10 (server or desktop version).
When using a Linux Guest OS, everythings goes smooth.
I attached my VBox.log file.

I tried change a couple of settings, but nothing appears to works.
Log file doesn't tell further informations about the cause of the problem.
Any ideia?

Re: Windows 10 VM crashing on VirtulalBox 6.1
I merged your posts.
Your VM had a BSOD and rebooted. The Virtualbox environment kept going.
There may be a bug or two in the 2019 64-bit guest type template. If this VM is brand new, start a new VM with 2016 64-bit (note 6 not 9). 2019 should still run in the 2016 template. Also check that the VM's System Setting, Paravirtualization tab says 'Hyper-V'. See what that does.

Hi scottgus1.
Thanks for your reply.
I changed the settings like you suggested.
But the problem happened again.
I attached a new VBox.log file.
I created a new VM to start from beginning. Problem persists.
I don't know what I can change.
Below is the the ISO file of Windows Server 2019 that I'm using:
2019-17763.737.190906-2324.rs5_release_svc_refresh_SERVER_EVAL_x64FRE_en-us_1.iso

Re: Windows 10 VM crashing on VirtulalBox 6.1
We forgot about your topic. Regrettably I can't figure out what is wrong. There's four of these:
FWIW we often have to wait until someone who recognizes the problem can offer a suggestion. A weekly bump is a good idea.
And finally:
and a BSOD.GIM: HyperV: Reset initiated through MSR

And finally:
You're using free Virtualbox. Free VirtualBox users are entitled to zero (0) support. Only paying Oracle customers get support, and they don't come here for it.chronoscc wrote:I gave up to wait virtualbox's support.
