Me Again! groan>

Post by RetiredGuy »

Got no idea why I'm abending here. Even on backups dating back to 5/2022.
The only lead I can give you here is that the vm is 32-bil ( my 64-bit runs flawlessly...)

Did you change anything on the host OS?

The screenshot looks to show a VM in the midst of a boot. If so, there should be a vbox.log.

Start the VM from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM's OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.

Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show Log. Save the far left tab's log, zip it, and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.

Thank you for answering!
Attaching the 'vm.log' file zipped.

No change to host os, but I do cop to a reinstall of vb as the update didn't seem to work properly...

Same issue as Issue connecting USB storage to Win10 guest.

As a workaround, try disconnecting any USB3 device before starting the VM, and re-adding them when the VM is running.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

I did it a bit differently than you suggested, i.e. no disconnect - just removed the filters; after boot chose it from 'Devices'

Thanks again!

This issue should be fixed in the VirtualBox test builds 6.1.39r153816 and newer.
