EFI F12 does not work anymore ?

Post by okiuss »

Hi,
i am running 6.1.0_BETA2 r134658 on macOS Catalina.
If I remember correctly, it was possible to enter the EFI menu, when hammering F12 on startup of the VM.
(Guests: macOS all variants and Win10)

Regards OK

You remember incorrectly; you could enter the EFI menu by using the <AnyKey>, not just F12! ;)

Yes, it's broken in the beta, they developers are aware that they broke it...

Indeed it does! :)
Was that a conscious change? Last I heard from a developer working on the NVRAM front, it broke by accident...
 Edit:
Turns out it was the update to the EDK II that was responsible for the change...

Good to know, thanks 'aeichner'!
