NVME - yellow exclamation in Device Manager

Post by wacher »

Hi guys,

I have a Win10 16299.15 guest (okay, this is an insider version today, but this build will be released next week to everybody as official Fall Update).
I would like to attach an nvme controller to it but the device manager don't like me. The "Standard NVM Express controller" cant be started:
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
An invalid parameter was passed to a service or function.

Any idea?

Host: Linux Mint 18.2 Sonya (x64, Xeon CPU, Samsung EVO 960 NVMe)
Guest: Windows 10 - 1709, 16299.15
VBox: 5.2 RC1

Regards,
Tamas

Your best option is ticket #16078: NVMe controller not working, but you already posted there. You need to include that log in the ticket and reopen the ticket if you think it should be reopened.
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.
If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.
