using VB Beta 3. Client is Fedora 26 up to date. Host is Win10 fall creators update beta (so beta on beta).
Considering the selection option is called "Audio Output" I will assume you did NOT intend to also stop/stutter the video. I assume this is meant to be a way to mute a client without having to learn how to do that from within each client ... aka a short-cut.
I see this while trying to watch a web video while in Firefox 55. When just listening to a mp3 in VLC then turning on the option is like hitting mute ... and all is well.
This occurs using ac97 or HD audio.
Since this is a case of beta-on-beta it may not be worthy of your concerns at this point ... and I understand. In which case consider this nothing more than a heads-up.
