When resizing a guest machine running Windows 10 or Windows Server 2012 R2 (both with guest additions installed), as one is attempting to resize using the bottom-right corner, the application jumps to 1152x864. When pressing the hotkey: CTRL+F or Command+F, the display shows the full screen but does not autosize to the maximum but only goes to 1152x864. One can manually specify the maximum (in my case 1440x900 on OSX 10.11.6). After restarting the guest machine in full-screen mode and then logging onto the guest OS, the screen remains in full screen but the resolution resizes to a smaller resolution.
5.1 Beta-2 exhibited the same problem as stated above.
For reference, 5.0.14 performs as expected when using the respective guest additions.

This is a known issue, not a regression in the beta.
