Start with Fedora 22 Guest VM with every package upgraded to current date (Kernel 4.0.6-300)
Host computer is Windows 7 SP1 X64 with all patches and share a folder named D.
Save or download RC2 Guest Additions ISO for later.
Start with Virtualbox RC2 and upgrade it to RC3 but do not upgrade Guest Additions yet.
Boot Fedora guest and verify that Shared Folder works. RC3 hypervisor is fine with RC2 Guest Additions.
Take a snapshot so you can come back and do it again.
Upgrade Guest Additions from RC2 to RC3.
Note error message:
Building the shared folder support module [ OK ]
...
Failed to start vboxadd.service: Unit vboxadd.service failed to load: No such file or directory.
Verify Shared Folder is no longer mounted. Reboot and verify problem does not go away with a reboot.
Try manual mount and get:
# mount -t vboxsf D /media/sf_D
/sbin/mount.vboxsf: mounting failed with the error: No such device
Mount RC2 Guest Additions ISO and install it over the RC3. No error message about vboxadd.service. Shared Folder starts working again.
Upgrade Ubuntu 15.4 and everything works (problem specific to Fedora 22 current upgrade).

This should not depend on the host computer, but to be a good citizen I will report that on a Windows 7 host it also fixed the problem I reported.
[Note: removed a report of a problem that turned out to be a mismatch of Guest Extensions and Host Extensions installed. Juggling too many systems during the testing].

I didn't get any error when updating my Fedora 22 guest on my Windows 8.1 host.
