Re: Drag-n-Drop: KDE4 Linux guests still broken
Did you try if installing any GTK(+) applications on the guest helps, that is, if drag'n drop works then? Might be some glitch in the DnD protocol these KDE applications use.

Yes, it works. Installed GNOME Nautilus on Debian 6/KDE4 desktop.
But it doesn't help. Both "Dolphin" and "Konqueror", native file managers of KDE, failed to DnD.

Re: Drag-n-Drop: KDE4 Linux guests still broken
Just reproduced the issue with Mint 17 KDE Edition.
Can you please check if the dragged elements (from host to guest) are in the directory "/tmp/VirtualBox Dropped Files/<Temporary Name Folder>"?

This bug is the biggest problem in RC1 IMO.

I didn't know bugs came in different sizes. For me, the fact that Drag-n-Drop doesn't work at all on OSX hosts with any guest seems bigger. IMO.

Yes, louk is right. DnD broken on Mac is a bigger bug, and yeah, those come in sizes. Just I don't happen to have a Mac to complain about.
Anyway, what we're trying to tell, is that VirtualBox 5.0 is still not ready for a release.

I see. I wasn't aware it was imminent.

Re: Drag-n-Drop: KDE4 Linux guests still broken
I've to finish setting up my new Mac in order to test (and fix) drag and drop there. Regarding the KDE issues: I'm aware of those and still working on it.
