Windows 7 Aero guest doesn't work on Intel GPU

um, quickbooks, that ticket is not for the 5.0 beta versions.

I get this same issue after using the VM a while.

Usually you can trigger this with switching display modes like from Full Screen ==> Seamless ==> Windowed (and/or vice versa) frequently.

And I am using the Nvidia gpu driver.

Windows 7 Aero guest works for me on my Linux Box which has an Intel HD 4600 GPU.

I revisited this issue because of quickbooks' post. Seamless mode does not work for me. As soon as I switch to seamless I get a black bar near the bottom of the screen which I assume is suppose to be the taskbar. From then on windowed and full screen mode are black until I restart the guest. I can switch back and forth between full screen and windowed mode with no problem.

Well I got the black screen even when just switching from Full screen to Window mode. Not sure it could have been because I resized the window (i.e. the window was maximized but I wanted the VM to take less screen space so resize the window frequently, and then switch to full screen ).

Once you get the black screen in the VM you lose all you work.

It deals with Win7 Aero guests having constant glitches when for example previewing windows from taskbar; or using Office 2013.

Affected hosts are linux which have the Nvidia drivers.
