Installed in OSX 10.10.3 host. Updated the GAs in a few guests including Windows 10 (build 10049). So far so good.
Edit: I could have probably been okay without the black and yellow caution Beta graphics.

Re: VB 5.0 Beta 1
I got around to installing 5.0 on my Linux box. I wanted to test the xHCI Controller so I first tried a Windows 7 guest (a 30day trial from Modern.IE). For whatever reason although it would capture a USB 3.0 Flash Drive it wouldn't show up in Windows and Windows would go online and try and find the appropriate USB driver but never could find one.
I then switched to a Linux guest (Lubuntu 14.04.2 LTS) and the xHCI Controller worked, recognized the USB 3.0 Flash Drive and I can read and write to it.
I'll probably create a Windows 10 guest at some point and see if I can get USB 3.0 working on it.

For Windows 7, you'd have to download a driver from Intel. Don't ask me why it's not on Windows Update. Look for "Intel 7 Series C216 xHCI driver".
Windows 8 and later has a Microsoft-provided xHCI driver built in. Linux has had xHCI support since about 2010.
