SUSPEND/HYBERNATE FAILS on (WIN)HOST

Post by x3mgroup »

Hi,

I am testing RC1 on the following HOST systems (running Windows 8.1 Enterprise):
Dell Latitude E6400 with 4GB RAM
Dell Latitude E6520 (i7) with 8GB RAM

RC1 Extension Pack has been added.

After testing some guest systems (like Server 2012 R2, some Linux Distro's, which when very well!) i tried to suspend the HOST (Dell Latitude E6520), screen get's black but the powerled stays on for ever.
Then i tried it on a clean installed HOST (this time the E6400), installed VirtualBox 4.3 RC1 and NO GUEST where created (so it's just installed!), pressed the power button to go to suspend and the same behavior was experienced: screen goes black bu the powerled stays on forever!.

QUESTION: is this a known issue, and if so is there a "work arround"?

Regards
Charles
