Beta2 not working on Suse Linux 12.3

Another log from vista 64 bit guest. 3D enabled.

First start freezed. Log like the small vista 32 guest above.

Directly second start is with the crappy desktop.

Could you create a core dump of a hung VM process (see "Forcing VirtualBox to terminate with a core dump" in https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Core_dump ), upload it to ftp://ftp.oracle.com:/appsdev/incoming and tell me the name of the uploaded file, so that I can have a look into it? (Note, this directory is write-only for public users for security reasons.)

Sorry, does not work.

I checked both methods, but the problem: It freezes, i does not crash. So there is no dump.

Did you check the "Forcing VirtualBox to terminate with a core dump" section? It is said there how to generate a core dump for the running/hung process.

No improvement.

Mostly the guest freezes at startup, Vista 32 with 3 has no Desktop. Not usable at the moment.

The problem with corrupted screen output also happens with Vista x86 and x64 using the Windows build. I See it on Windows 7 and XP64 host with an ATI HD7770 graphics card. Unchecking 3D or using the 4.18 guest additions fixes it. 7 , 8 and 8.1. are unaffected.

I downloaded some 4.2.51 alpha builds in the past and it broke somewhere in the last 6 months. Unfortunately I do no longer have the last build were it still worked. I think it was in the 82xxx range.

Could you elaborate on what the problem actually is, and also attach screenshots and VM log file?

The problem is that there is no desktop. After a new start you first see it for a second.

But then the desktop is away and you see only one icon with crappy colours in a full screen resolution.

It looks like the mouse movement zooms different parts of the screen. If I take a screenshot with virtualbox this one is ok. But you see the mess with the one taken using the Windows print key.
