The VirtualBox team today released a significant new version of Oracle VM VirtualBox, its high performance, cross-platform virtualization software.

The following items were fixed since VirtualBox 4.1 Beta 3:
  • VMM: fixed hang under certain circumstances (4.1 Beta 1 regression)
  • GUI: fixed wrong window focus of the file selector dialog for opening a virtual disk or CD/DVD-ROM
  • Cloning: serveral fixes. Cloning the entire machine together with all children is currently disabled and will be properly fixed in the next maintenance release.
  • Documentation fixes
  • Host-only networking: fixes for Linux kernels older than 2.6.29 (4.1 Beta 1 regression)
  • WDDM fixes
  • VRDP: fixed screen corruption under rare circumstances
  • Mac OS X hosts: fixed wireless networking on Lion
  • Mac OS X hosts: fixed execution of 64-bit guests on 32-bit kernels (4.1 Beta 1 regression)
  • Windows hosts: Shipping tool "vbox-img.exe", a standalone image manipulation tool
  • Windows hosts: use native controls in the installer (bug 5520)
