VirtualBox 3.2.0 released

The VirtualBox team today released a significant new version of Oracle VM VirtualBox(TM), its high performance, cross-platform virtualization software. VirtualBox 3.2, the first Oracle branded release since the acquisition of Sun Microsystems, Inc by Oracle Corp. earlier this year, contains many innovative new features which deliver further significant improvements in performance, power and supported guest operating system platforms.

The following items were fixed and/or added since VirtualBox 3.2.0 Beta 3:
  • Enabled the page fusion code
  • Several documentation updates
  • Several fixes to the async I/O manager
  • 3D: fixed Compiz restore issues on macos (#4874)
  • Devices/Network/VDE: applied patch which should fix attaching VDE interfaces at runtime
  • Fixed bridged network over a wireless NIC on Windows hosts.
  • Fixed bug in VBoxManage clonehd
  • VBoxManage: fixed overly strict checks when creating a raw partition VMDK (bugs #688, #4438)
