The uninstallation processes requires administrative privileges
because some of the installed files cannot be removed by a normal
user. You may be prompted for your password now...

Please enter james's password:
james is not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported.
An error occured durning 'sudo rm', there should be a message above. (rc=1)

The uninstall failed. Please retry.
I am not an admin. It needs to ask for a username that is and do a su admin sudo foo

Isn't this something that is expected? OS X has sudoers just like Linux, doesn't it? It tries to use sudo, because that's the common command to elevate privileges to root. If you know you can't elevate yourself, you should remove the package from the root account in the first place. That's how it works with installing, right?
