Strange mouse capture/focus misbehaviour

Post by Pavel_Leon »

Today while working on a Windows Remote Desktop session from inside VBox suddenly
the primary click of the mouse stopped to work. Only right click worked.

The if I took the mouse off the VM window the primary click did't worked neither,
and when I pressed the rigth click a contextual menu apeared, inside de VM
(the menu was the guest OS menu not the hosts). While I moved
the mouse and right clicked the context menu apeared more or less
in the directions I moved the mouse outside the VM window.

The keyboard input went to VM too. I logged of the Remote Desktop and
shuted down down the VM by keyboard.
Even then I was unable to manage anything on the host environment,
not even close the VBox GUI. So I had to turn off the host (power button).

Configuration:
- Host : OpenSolaris snv_126, Dell Lattitude D630
- Guest : WinXP Pro, with 3.1 additions

This resembled the "Mouse cursor problem" topic (http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=24489) but there was
no suspend/resume of the VM.

Can't give more details on the conditions.
It happened only once.

Aside this, thanks guys, Skype seems to work (managed to do just an echo call today).
