Hi all,
We were using VirtualBox 4.1.18 in a Solaris 10 zone to host an XP machine for testing.
To correct VNOM bug (CVE-2015-3456) we upgraded to 4.1.38 but unfortunately VirtualBox core dump now , even if VBoxHeadless was running correctly to execute the VM.
I've tried to upgrade to 4.3.28 but zoneaccess service in the zone do not start , and VirtualBox cannot start the VM in this zone.
( VirtualBox is running correctly only in global zone )
Something change between 4.1 and 4.3 for configuring VirtualBox in a non global zone ?
Thanks for any help
Patrick

The zone access service is supposed to run only in the global zone.
Maybe for some reason it wasn't started after installation, you could try to manually start as root it using:
if it started successfully you should see a "VBoxZoneAccess" process running the "ps" output in the global zone.

Code: Select all
svcadm enable virtualbox/zoneaccess
