VirtualBox 1.6 on solaris 10 , no VT-x or AMD-V ?

Post by tschoenemann »

Did anyone encountered problems with the hardware-virtualization VT-x / AMD-V?

I am not sure if it works, but as i can´t start any OS/2 guests in solaris10 i
guess this could be the problem.
OS/2 virtual-machines dont boot without VT-x / AMD-v

Windows etc machines work pretty well after solving the libdlpi.so problem in solaris 10.

After testing with different computers (AMD and INTEL) and different host operating systems its now sure:

AMD-V doesnt work anymore on any Host operating systems since 1.6.0
VT-x (intel) works , but not on solaris10

VT-x and AMD-V will be enabled in Solaris as soon as we fix some issues. It was disabled on purpose.
