Migrating vmware on FC 8 to OpenSolaris - networking issue

Post by jeffrey.seul »

I'm a new user to Virtual Box and have found one little issue preventing me from completing the migration.

So far, the vm (Windows XP Pro) has moved over quite well through following several blog entries and some minor changes, however the network adapter in the vm is disabled and I'm not sure how to get it functioning correctly.

Platform - Sun Ultra 20
Solaris - OpenSolaris snv_86
NIC - nge0 (onboard)

Adapter in Vbox environment,
- NIC 1: MAC: 080027FB9D16, Attachment: NAT, Cable connected: on, Trace: off (file: none), Type: Am79C973, Reported speed: 0 Mbps

Any thoughts or any more info needed to help get this working correctly, please let me know -

Regards,

Jeff

Any help?

Anyone?

If not, this is going to be a very short attempt at virtual box and vmware (which works just fine with FC 8) will be the solution -
