Extension pack gives USB 2.0?
So the extension pack gives USB v2. Does it work? Do you reach v2 or is the Solaris version crippled?

Re: Extension pack gives USB 2.0?
That is what the description says, does it not? It's not the full speed of USB 2.0 though and the absolute speed seems to depend on OS too. But, some devices that require USB2 to work, work when the extpack is installed and enabled in the VM settings (USB > EHCI).
Can't really vouch for Solaris Host, but it should not be crippled in any way.

Re: Extension pack gives USB 2.0?
The extension pack with regards to USB only provides the Virtual USB EHCI (USB 2.0) controller. This means installing the extension pack (regardless of the supported host) will let you configure EHCI controllers for your VMs, whether or not you can actually passthrough USB devices depends on the host support. As far as Solaris host support for this goes, it is as mentioned in the VirtualBox documentation:
You can use Solaris 11 Express or any Solaris Nevada build >= 124.- There is no support for USB devices connected to Solaris 10 hosts.
– USB support on Solaris hosts requires kernel version snv_124 or higher. Webcams and
other isochronous devices are known to have poor performance.
