Communication between Host and Guest.

Post by Rudde »

Hello, I run a Solaris server with a 4 Gbit connection and a zpool for my files. I was wondering if I can get a 4 gbit connection between host PC and the guest PC? Like a virtual 10GbE switch and NIC, is this possible in any way in Virtualbox?

Also, I have noticed that network bridge mode (from host to guest) does not work in solaris, how to fix? :S

Please provide more information. It seems you need to use host-only networking and not bridged networking for the VM. Also you will not achieve 10GbE speeds at the moment. You could give VirtIO also a try provided your guest has Virtio driver support.
