i had to reinstall my system. the new installation made
a /VirtualBox VMs directory, which i'd like to change.
anybody know how? i've tried
VBoxManage setproperty machinefolder /VOLUMES/W
to no avail. this stuff was originally set up under version
3.something of vbox. i figure there's gotta be a way to
migrate things, but i don't know what to search for.
thanks.

Re: changing /VirtualBox VMs
Set the variable VBOX_USER_HOME. Make sure it's picked up by both your CLI and GUI to avoid path issues when using both tools. Check the Solaris documentation on how to set GUI variables for your session. CLI variables go in the settings file of your shell. For Bash, it would be .bashrc in your home folder. Other shells have other files they source for settings.
