I can't figure out a problem with using the latest Virtualbox on a Solaris 10 9/10 host running a guest of the same version. I bring up e1000g0 in bridged network mode and I can ping and connect to it fine from the host, but the guest can't ping out or reach the default gateway. On the guest I only have the one bridged e1000g0 interface configured. If I run ifconfig -a on the host all I see is the vboxnet0 interface which I'm not using. What do I do. I've searched all over to find a resolution.

Bridging should work if your guest can acquire an IP via DHCP or you statically assign one. Without knowing your network setup we can't help too much. Do you have a DHCP server that your guest requests to?
