USB Printing [local]

Hi guys, can anyone offer some insight to the following please?

My usb printer is installed and configured correctly in XP (SP3), which is running as a guest under OS b133, with Vbox doing the honours. Everything works fine but my printer will only print half the page of an A4 letter, then reports an error message, followed by a form feed. I have checked all the printer settings and everything seems to be okay. The printer is a Canon ip2500 with all the drivers checked/updated.

My initial guess is that this may be some sort of paging/spooling problem within Vbox but if anyone has a better understanding of this problem let me know! Thanks in advance.
