Hello,
Has anyone been able to enable the USB functionality on a Solaris 10 (10/08) and a Windows 7 guest?
I have been running a Windows 7 guest for sometime now, but the USB drive although mounted and accessible on the Solaris host machine, is not available through Virtual Box. The following shows up on the VB management window:
USB
Device Filters:

Any clues?
USB on Solaris host
Re: USB on Solaris host
From the Virtualbox user manual, chapter "known limitations", page 245:
– There is no support for USB on Solaris 10 hosts.
– Experimental USB support for OpenSolaris/Nevada hosts (versions 124 and higher recommended).

Re: USB on Solaris host
Thanks jkeil, that's what I was affraid of. It's a shame that this being a Sun/Oracle product, it does not provide USB support for their own O/S hosts.
