Is there a way to change the ip address range or netmask for this interface. My brain dead company is now using 192.168 ip address for internal email access and the netmask of 192.255.255.255 is screwing up my routing.

You can use "ifconfig vboxnet0" to alter the IP address. And also edit the "/etc/hostname.vboxnet0" file.
