Failed to run VirtualBox 2.20 on Solaris 5/08 x86

Hello, everyone. VirtualBox 2.20 just released. I installed 2.20 on my Solaris 5/08 x86, but failed to run.

well, it seems there's something wrong with Qt Gui lib. But I use JDS desktop environment. I searched the whole forum for this error and found that it got something to do with the fondconfig library package. But I already installed SUNWfontconfig package. So, what's the root cause? How to fix this? Thanks in advance!

You might want to try patch 138353-02. It includes support for FcFreeTypeQueryFace.
BTW keeping uptodate with Sun's patches it always a good idea; your fontconfig binary dated 2004 seems a bit old
As I mentioned in other posts, I would recommend PatchCheckAdvanced for this purpose.

The patch seems to need sunsolve contract number. I still have no chance to download the patch at the moment.

FYI, I can confirm that this patch fixed the issue, at least for me. I was seeing the same problem, and after applying 138353-02, it's now working.

I can also confirm that patch 138353-02 allows VirtualBox v2.2.0 to run on Solaris 10 5/08.
I like the fixes to allow hardware accelerated VBox and non accelerated VBox to run together now and the memory allocation limit increased from 4GB to 16GB.
All we need is to have dynamic movement of VBox with a Sun Cluster or can this already be done?

I get the same error message when trying to run VirtualBox 3.1.0.

Does anybody know when the patch 138353-02 will be publicly available? It has been available for sunsolve customers since Aug 2008 but not for anybody else.
