Hi, Please assist, I can't seem to find any information on compiling ones own extension pack or exporting an existing extension pack from an existing virtualbox instance back to a vbox-extpack file format for import into another instance.

You need the following to make heads or tails of what you are trying to do:
SDKRef.pdf
VirtualBoxSDK-<version>.zip
Pick the version you are using and download them from here. http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/
You will need the source as well.
