How to de-install VBOX/2 or at least remove a machine

Hi,

I have hit a problem that I ran out of space on the default location for VDI and snapshot files (the system drive).

I have insufficient space to "discard" the snapshots into the main VDI record. I have tried moving everything I can off on to another drive to make space available but without success.

End result is that I have a corrupted VBox definition for my virtual machine, so I want to remove it (or if needed the whole VBOX/2) and re-install.

Where does VBOX keep it's configuration - is this in an XML file that I simply can delete and then delete the remaining of the VDI and snapshots or are there also entries in OS2.INI ??

Thanks for any advice

Cheers/2

Ed.

See http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?t=5646 for more on a similar situation. The same fix should apply for you.

If you're using WinXP host, the settings and savestates are stored in:
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\.VirtualBox

It stores the profiles and VDI's in the %HOME% dir, as defined in config.sys. On eCS systems, this is usually in:
\HOME\DEFAULT\.VirtualBox

To "over_clox" - I am using the OS/2 Host (but WinXP client).

To Yoda - thanks again - this time I'll make sure I have enough disk space for where I configure the VDI and snapshots files to go !
