Does anyone have a specs file to build VirtualBox 4.x OSE on Fedora 12 x86_64? My host machines currently run Fedora 12 and cannot upgrade for the time being. It seems the latest 3.2 version has several clock problems with a Fedora 14 guest on AMD Athlon processors. The time synchronization by VBoxService is quite unreliable on this configuration.
I am now running VBoxService (via vbosadd-service) with the --disable-timesync option to avoid the major problems with kernel options divider=10 noapictimer. I also run ntpd on the guest machine referring the host ntp service to synchornize the guest time. My guest machines use clocksource=acpi_pm for now.

If you just want to install latest VBox, without building, you can use Multi-distro installer.
I found guide for F13:

If you want stable, long-term OS, which is almost like F12, it makes sense to migrate to RHEL6 (or clone) OS.

Or try clocksource=jiffies instead of stopping the clock-sync.
