can not connect to any network

Post by jmc13 »

hey,

since some weeks I have a problem with my vm.
I use VirtualBox OSE v2.2.4, Linux (sidux, kernel 2.6.30) as host-system and my guest-system is Windows XP SP2. My problem is that every time I want to activate my network connection to browse the web I get an error message:
http://forums.virtualbox.org/download/f ... iew&id=361

Of course I search the log for something helpful, but I only found these lines absorbing:
00:01:13.891 Changing the VM state from 'DESTROYING' to 'TERMINATED'.
00:01:13.974 ERROR [COM]: aRC=E_ACCESSDENIED (0x80070005) aIID={fd443ec1-0006-4f5b-9282-d72760a66916} aComponent={Mouse} aText={The console is not powered up} aWarning=false, preserve=false
00:01:13.992 ERROR [COM]: aRC=E_ACCESSDENIED (0x80070005) aIID={fd443ec1-0006-4f5b-9282-d72760a66916} aComponent={Mouse} aText={The console is not powered up} aWarning=false, preserve=false

All in all I have no idea what creates this error. I think the first time this message appeared was after a kernel upgrade, but I am really not sure. All I know is, that after installing everything works fine.
At the moment I use the OSE version of VirtualBox, but I have already try it with the "normal" version and nothing changes.
My Adapter Type is PCnet-FAST III (AM79C973).

Maybe someone has an idea how can I fix this problem. Thanks

P.S.: I hope my english is good enough ;-)
