Compile in XP(32bit), run on Windows 7(64 bit) host.
I was wondering if it is possible to run the VirtualBox OSE compiled on XP (32bit) on a Windows 7 (64bit) host. I only ask since I've compiled the latest version and when I try to run VboxSDL.exe on my windows 7 machine I get "Error: RTR3Init failed rcRC=-1908". Yet SUPInstall.exe does say it installs successfully. Am I missing something or do I have to run a 64 bit version on my Windows 7 machine? I've compiled it using VS2003.
