I have the free v2.04 VirtualBox on XP. I want to build VirtualBox for XP as host, but build in an Ubuntu 8.10 VM. Is this possible? How do I do it?
Thanks, Hillshum

Am I right in saying that you want to cross compile VirtualBox for Windows from within Linux? If so, then the answer is no you can't. You have to build your Windows applications in Windows. The VirtualBox wiki has a page on the build requirements for the various supported hosts.

Can we compile VirtualBox 64 bit on 64 bit Windows env?
Terry,
Can we compile VirtualBox 64 bit on 64 bit Windows environment.
I was unable to compile it because it gave me BAD ELF error for the file op.c.
