How can I change VBOX fonts (manager AND guest console)

Post by obiewan »

I'm trying to figure out how to enlarge the fonts for VBox Manager AND The Guest console.

Thanks,

George...

One good way to start looking for how to do something is to search the PDF of the manual in the Virtualbox installation folder.

Try searching for the word 'font', see if anything comes up. I don't see anything except for a possible setting for Solaris hosts, and that might just be the Solaris command line.

On Windows 10 host PCs, a program's right-click Properties has a Compatibility tab, with a 'Change HiDPI' button, which appears to allow changing DPI for that program, separate from the regular OS settings.

Thanks for the response and your time.

I should have listed the host type: Linux Fedora Core 33 (Rawhide). The problem is that the fonts in the Manager gui and the fonts ON the Console provided are REALLY SMALL. Inside the console isn't working either but that's another issue.

I did look for what was listed in the pdf you mentioned, VBoxQtconfig... Not Found. Not even in the Vbox package.

I don't see anything in the args for VBox that even mentions fonts.

What do I do now? Contact VBox support? Write a ticket?

Vbox support is mondo expensive, so that's probably not available.

Are the fonts in your other programs also small?
