There is still the repository error for Fedora 29/30. The repository also contains the Fedora 31 version which doesn't work for the older releases and dnf automatically selects it because of the higher number:

Virtualbox crashes when removing last VM from list

Post by Keith Weisshar »

VirtualBox Manager 6.1.4 crashes as soon as I remove the last remaining virtual machines from the machine list by right-clicking the virtual machine and then clicking either Delete All Files or Remove Only. This only happens on Version 6.1.4r136177.

The problem is not missing packages for Fedora 30 (or 29) but the additional visible packages for Fedora 31 in the repository.
On Fedora 30 DNF sees the (not working) F31 package in addition to the F30 package in the repository and installs it instead of the F30 package because the "version number" is higher.

Example as of right now on my Fedora 30 system:
[root@mdtiny ~]# dnf list installed VirtualBox-6.1
Installed Packages
VirtualBox-6.1.x86_64 6.1.4_136177_fedora29-1 @virtualbox
[root@mdtiny ~]# dnf update
Last metadata expiration check: 0:03:50 ago on Di 25 Feb 2020 22:33:13 CET.
Dependencies resolved.

In the 6.1.0 release we had a big problem with the mouse pointer in a Windows XP guest, especially with MS Office.
Is this problem fixed?

The guest additions v6.1.4 is terrible, the main bug that is frustrating me is not being able to use share the clipboard on a debian guest, also a few other functions of the guest additions do not work 100%.

We are all waiting on 6.1.5 to fix all those problems among others already mentioned here.

Thanks!

After I changed from 6.0.x to 6.1.4, one issue is now , even if my guest has in the config two virtual monitors/ displays enabled, after it boots it doesn't create/start second monitor by default, I have to go to explicitly enable it through the bottom RHS icon Virtual Screen 2 --> Enable.

Further on first attempt it doesnt' work, comes up but seems exists immediately. On second attempt it seems to start. It's also seems issue when I want to drag this screen to my second physical screen - it does something odd like resizing and window jumping back to 1st physical monitor... Eventually I manage to drag & maximize it.

Is 6.1.x some alpha/beta / testing branch or ..?

EDIT: and now after enabling second virtual monitor and dragging resizing window no mouse events seems to work - cannot click ,start anything inside my guest.

Can confirm this too: just realized that frustratingly, clipboard doesn't seem to work between host-guest.

Is it safe to Downgrade from 6.1.4 back to 6.0.xx ?

I'm just very concerned that, one of my very big disk images I was using for a couple of years, (last it was at about 90+GB ) somehow got corrupted after I upgraded by VBox from 6.0.12 (Ithink) to 6.1.4. So this is worrying and I have other small issues which makes me think I rather downgrade safely if I can.
