[Solved] Duplicate config values '/CPUM/CMPXCHG16B' and '/CPUM/IsaExts/CMPXCHG16B'

Trying to start VirtualBox to access my Windows 10 VM I receive this error:

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Windows 10.
Duplicate config values '/CPUM/CMPXCHG16B' and '/CPUM/IsaExts/CMPXCHG16B' - please remove the former! (VERR_DUPLICATE).
Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)

I searched for "/CPUM/CMPXCHG16B" and it doesn't exist.
I searched for "/CPUM" and no such directory exists. I looked in VitrualBox directory and tried to edit the VirtualBox.xml and there it says that I should be using VBoxManage. Also, in the xml file I can't find any relevant information.

How do I clear this error?

Neither of those labels refer to directories. They refer to config settings. It implies that at some point in the past you used VBoxManage to alter the config of this VM, probably because you were following some ancient and obsolete blog.

Find the .vbox file in the VM folder, zip it, attach the zip here.

I saw several superfluous CPU overrides in your .vbox file. Since you haven't mentioned a reason, I have removed all of them. The attached zip contains a modified .vbox which should fix your Win10 boot problem.
