Hello,
in Virtualbox I have many snapshots, I can see them in the file manager, but I don't know which one is which.
IDs (names) in the file manager are not mentioned in the gui (or maybe I couldn't find).
I need this info to check which snapshot is eating too much disk space.
[Resolved] Correlate Snapshot in GUI and in file manager

Look at the main Virtualbox window, File menu > Virtual Media Manager. Each disk will show its snapshots along with size on the host disk.

The one that starts with "{09f9c17-...}.vdi", clearly, it's taking 34.3 GB!pazzoide wrote:I need this info to check which snapshot is eating too much disk space.

Re: Correlate Snapshot in GUI and in file manager
I think I see pazzoide's point better. Both the screenshot and the Virtual Media Manager will show the sizes of the snapshot disks. But which snapshot in the Snapshots description page contains "{09f9c17-...}.vdi"? I can't see that in the Virtual Media Manager, nor in "vboxmanage showmediuminfo", nor in the Snapshots description page in the guest Settings.

Geez, nobody can make a joke anymore?
Of course your answer was right-on-the-money, mine was a size joke!
But, since you "woke me up from my siesta", here's another way to skin a cat:
