Generic icon on dock??

Post by Akina Bridal »

Generic icon on dock displays a blank/generic icon for the virtual machine. With Vbox 5.2, I got a proper Vbox icon (albeit one that was unhelpfully identical to the one for the main Vbox window).

I don't see the reason for posting this on "VirtualBox Beta / Release Candidate Feedback". Moving to "Using VirtualBox".

Your question has been answered more than once. Since 6.0.0 the process that handles each VM is called "VirtualBoxVM", and "VirtualBox" is just the manager. You can safely close the Manager if it bothers you. But since they're different processes, you can't unify the dock icons. By definition...
