Re: VMBOX license
I am not a lawyer, so take this with the proper weight that advice from an anonymous man on the Internet deserves:
See https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Licensing_FAQ and https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/VirtualBox_PUEL .
Virtualbox comes in two parts. The main download can be used by anyone for any purpose, private or commercial. A substantial majority of capabilities are available in the main download.
The Extension Pack adds a few capabilities, see the manual section, 1.6. USB 2 & 3 and a Remote Desktop server to see the guest screen independently of the guest OS are provided, as well as a few other more esoteric things. The EP is restricted from being used in a commercial environment unless you pay for it. It costs $6100 for a minimum first purchase of 100 seats or $1220 for a "socket", whatever that is.
If you don't need the RDP server or USB, chances are you'd be alright running the base Virtualbox without the EP in your business. Get ready to shell some dough if you want to be legal using the EP in your business.
