Current state is 'changed' after new snapshot

Post by JustinH »

After taking a snapshot of my guest (usually W10, if it could matter), the status of "Current State" is often "changed". It seems like the "changed" status will drop off (thus being correct) after restarting VB (may be some other trigger, I just notice it being correct sometime later).

I've seen this in 5.2 and 6.0, on W7 and W10 hosts.

Yes, I've seen it too, too many times. Just restarting the VirtualBox Manager, as you said, resets it. I have no clue what causes it, most probably a race condition. The workaround is really simple, and the reproducibility is random, that's why I never bothered with it...
