Try out kubernetes with a kubernetes image from docker hub
Install a VM with raw install of docker and kubernetes
I would stick into the 2nd one to push kubernetes into its limit and found out how it goes, how much it consumes, and so on. Also, having a single authentication token is a real confort (due to Docker persistence).
You're asking a Docker question in the VirtualBox forums. Docker is a program that relies on VirtualBox (among others), but modifies its configuration files in unknown ways to us, and with unknown consequences. It is not supported on these VirtualBox forums/channels, they have their own Docker support channels.
