I can't download the extension pack.
The error is:
Websites prove their identity via certificates. Firefox does not trust this site because it uses a certificate that is not valid for download.virtualbox.org. The certificate is only valid for the following names: download.oracle.com, epd-akam-us.oracle.com, epd-akam-ca.oracle.com, epd-akam-intl.oracle.com, aru-akam.oracle.com

I´m having the same problem. Had my pc on warranty for repairs and now that I have it back I am installing everything again, virtualbox in this case.

When I try to download it I am getting a page that says "An authorized request".

What might be the problem?

Throwing up security warnings all browsers when trying to download.

Starting from this page:
https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Download_Old_Builds_5_2
all download links raise the following error:

"Your connection is not private
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from download.virtualbox.org (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). Learn more
NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID"


The certificate is assigned to "download.oracle.com" instead of "download.virtualbox.org "

I confirm. All download links are broken due to this cert error.

ich versuche vergeblich, an das Extension Pack zu gelangen.

Warum kann ich das nicht herunterladen?

Firefox sieht diese Seite als "gefährlich" an, was ich überhaupt nicht verstehe.

Hat jemand einen Tipp, wie ich mir das herunterladen kann?

I'm experiencing the problem on Linux Mint 19.1.

When mintUpdate tries to load the package status et. al. from "deb https://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian bionic contrib", it fails.
If I try to access "https://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian" with Firefox I get also the certificate error.

But, if I access the server with http (not https = http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian) then it works.
So, as a temporary workaround, you may, at your own risk, use the unsecure http URL...

FWIW, it also doesn't work for download.oracle.com in Firefox or any other browsers. .This just happened yesterday. Apparently they need a new certificate.

Einfach dort trotzdem herunterladen.
Wenn Du dir das "unsichere" Zertifikat der Download-Webseite anschaust, wirst Du sehen, daß Oracle zur Zeit nur ein Konfigurationsproblem hat und das derzeitige Zertifikat nur für "download.oracle.com" gilt, aber nicht für die "download.virtualbox.org" Seite.

apt-get update produces this error today on Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS

Err:10 https://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/debian bionic Release
Certificate verification failed: The certificate is NOT trusted. The name in the certificate does not match the expected. Could not handshake: Error in the certificate verification. [IP: 2.20.129.111 443]

This wasn't there yesterday.

+1 reporting this also. I appears it is using the cert from _download.oracle.com_ instead of _download.virtualbox.org_. It looks like somebody used the wrong cert.

This needs fixed on the Oracle/Virtualbox side of things.

I'm getting this, thought it might be because I upgraded to Ubuntu 19.04.

I posted this issue in the Forum Volunteers section but I thought it may be more appropriate here. Getting a bad certificate warning trying to download 6.0.6 for OSX in all browsers since yesterday. See the attached file.

No matter how I try I can't download the installer (https://download.virtualbox.org/virtual ... _amd64.deb) Browser just sits there trying forever. Tried on different computers Windows 10 and Linux Mint 19.1, and at two different locations.
