I would do this, but the testbuild for macOS is 130201, not 130207 like all the other platforms. I see that there are already 130208 development snapshots posted for all platforms, so that makes me wonder if 130207 for macOS will really show up if I keep waiting...

(By the way, I managed to build 6.0.4 from source, and the GUI runs, but VirtualBoxVM is crashing. I'll try again with 6.0.6, and if that still crashes, I might post to a more appropriate section of these forums about it. Hopefully I'll be able to overcome all the obstacles I've been running into today with building and running VirtualBox from source, then I'll be able to test patches, etc.)

Merging this then with the related thread, "Weird mouse behavior with VirtualBox 6.0.6 upgrade (#18567)".

I managed to get VirtualBox to build and run without crashing (on macOS 10.13.6), so I tested the following:

VirtualBox 6.0.6, built from source: Ran my Windows 2000 guest twice (with Guest Additions 6.0.4) and got spurious left-clicks twice. (I wanted to start by verifying that I could still reproduce the bug when building VirtualBox myself.)

VirtualBox 6.0.6 with changeset 77668 reverted: Ran my Windows 2000 guest 5 times with GA 6.0.4 and 5 times with GA 6.0.6, no spurious clicks (so I can no longer reproduce the bug and it's behaving properly, just like 6.0.4 did).

@barrykn Sorry, fixed the macOS test build version. But great to see people building themselves to test changes! Thanks for confirming. Hoping for a few more confirmations.

Just tested the 130207 test build, seemed to fix the erratic mouse issue... that was killing me. :)

I had a likely related issue on 6.0.6 that is fixed in 6.0.7 r130207 test build... Should I disable Virtualbox updates until this is fixed? As in remove virtualbox from my apt repo list?

Problem:
In the guest OS, dragging an app window from my primary screen to the secondary screen would cause the window to jump back to the primary screen. If window was maximized in the secondary screen, the would jump to the primary screen in unmaximized position. I tried a million things to fix it, making things worse, where the windows would jump almost entirely off the primary screen. This was not a problem in seamless/windowed mode. Also, the mouse behavior (clicks, position) appeared to be fine except for the window jumping issue. Now it's all fixed with 6.0.7 130207 test build, thanks @michael !

General configuration:
Ubuntu 18.04 LTS host
Windows 10 Enterprise guest
Nvidia GTX 980 Ti (Nvidia driver 418.56)
Dual 1980x1080 monitors (configured as a single X screen as per usual with X server)
Vbox graphics settings: VboxSVGA, 2D acceleration, fullscreen on both monitors, 100% scaling
Vbox pointing device setting: USB Tablet

Problematic configuration:
Virtualbox 6.0.6
Guest additions 6.0.6

Good configuration:
Virtualbox 6.0.7 130207 test build
Guest Additions 6.0.7
Extension pack 6.0.6

Thanks everyone who tested the change. @neurokev For my education (I probably should know), will apt try to install the older repository version on top of 6.0.7 r130207? If so then yes, it makes sense to disable updates for now. I can't think of a good reason not to use the test build.

Ah actually I don't think apt will update virtualbox installs from .run files. Right now vbox doesn't show up in "apt list" for me. However, I temporarily disabled the virtualbox repository just to be safe :)

When do you think this fix will be integrated into a stable/official build?

Thanks so much for figuring this out, you're a lifesaver!! <3 I'm on a tight deadline and my workflow requires constant switching between Linux and Windows

That's the best idea since I had my morning coffee! :)
You never know when there's going to be a conflict, but just to give you another perspective, I don't have automatic updates from within VirtualBox on a Mint19 host that I have nearby. I never installed the Ubuntu repository version, and it never shows up in the update list, so the official VirtualBox doesn't seem to trigger any Ubuntu repository updates...

That would be 6.0.8. According to historical averages, that would be on (or around) 2019-05-27, build 130877! Let's see how good the statistics work... ;)

Confirmation that upgrading to "6.0.7 r130207" fixes strange mouse issues. No problems with multi screen setup either now. Thanks @Socratis for the advice.

It seems that I'm getting this problem on my Windows 10 host with Linux guests. I'm going to try 6.0.7 to see if it fixes as suggested by andyp73 on a thread I created.

I am having the same problem as everyone else:

After the upgrade Windows 10 guest started behaving erratically when controlled using mouse, even scrolling is able to obtain an reaction from the guest.

Details to help fill the gap:
Host: Fedora 29 (KDE)
Operating System: Fedora 29
KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.5
Qt Version: 5.11.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.55.0
Kernel Version: 5.0.7-200.fc29.x86_64
OS Type: 64-bit
Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHz
Memory: 7.7 GiB of RAM
Guest: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro (Version 10.0.17134 Build 17134) with latest Guest Additions installed.

Monitor: Single in-built laptop monitor, Full HD (1920x1080), High DPI settings (including scaling). Scaling also enabled for VirtualBox using the QT_SCALE_FACTOR environmental variable with the value of 0.83 to offset system scaling in full screen.

Same problems here, dual monitor Fedora 29 host, BeOS and Haiku guests. It's jumping around non-linearly and registering mouse presses when you move it in 6.0.6, doesn't matter which screen the window is on, or if it is full screen or scaled. Works (as well as it ever does) in 6.0.4. Note that there is no guest additions software running, they see the raw emulated mouse. That should help narrow down the bug hunt.
