Read disk error Press Ctrl Alt Suppr for reboot ...

Post by beber38 »

Hello,

I have a vmware's virtual machine with windows XP (.vdmk). I want to launch it with virtualbox. I have make two machine, the first with workstation 5 and the second with workstation 4 of vmware.

When I launch the machines with virtualbox, I have the following error : "Read disk error, Press Ctrl Alt Suppr for reboot" with xp and ubuntu feisty host.

I believe that virtualbox support vmdk now ? doesn't it ?

After selected "IO APIC" option, same problem. An idea ?

Thanks,

Sorry for my english, I'm french ...

Hello,

same problem here. Host is Windows XP and the guest is Windows 2003.

Installation was made in VMWare 5.5. Is VistualBox able to boot OS that is installed on vmdk drive in VMWare?

thank you
