Hello,
The virtualbox is stuck and seems to be in an infinite loop at the "Checking Current Configuration" so it does not progress to the next stage so that I can download examples - I am new to VirtualBox. Your detailed help is highly appreciated. I am attaching a screen capture.
Here is version of VirtualBox
VirtualBox Graphical User Interface
Version 5.2.26 r128414 (Qt5.6.2)

Thank you for your help

Re: Virtualbox Stuck in "Checking Current Configuration"
Not sure what you're looking at there, but this is not VirtualBox, any of the known interfaces!
This looks like a browser trying to access a NAT address (10.0.2.15) over port 8888, i.e. a web interface to a "Hue" something running presumably in the VM.
You want to start giving more details? Because so far it doesn't make sense. Did you download a pre-made VM? How did you start it? Were you following some instructions somewhere? Sharing them perhaps? Maybe?

Re: Virtualbox Stuck in "Checking Current Configuration"
Thank you for your reply. I am taking a course on Data Analytics with hive. I downloaded and installed
VirtualBox Graphical User Interface Version 5.2.26 r128414 from
virtualbox
I imported the appliance cloudera-quickstart-vm-5.13.0-0-virtualbox from
cloudera
and then clicked on the "Analyze your data" which took me to that page I attached.

Re: Virtualbox Stuck in "Checking Current Configuration"
In that case you need to ask Cloudera. This is not a VirtualBox problem from what it seems. We're not analyzing data, we're running Operating Systems on VirtualBox. You have not proven that you have a problem with VirtualBox, only the application that runs on top the Operating System, that runs on top of VirtualBox, might have one.
Just because an OS/program that runs in the context of VirtualBox has a problem, it doesn't make it a VirtualBox problem necessarily. You're having an issue that has most probably nothing to do with VirtualBox, so my suggestion would be to treat it as such, as a native problem with the OS or the application of the guest.

If you want help troubleshooting the VM, then start by troubleshooting the VM. Open VirtualBox Manager and try to run the VM. Does it run?
