I've created a half dozen VR computers - they ask about HD. I pick the first one (VR Box HD) I tell it FIXED 50gig.
It creates the file, it delegates 50gig and completes. I have a file ... that of course Won't BOOT!
I've been all through the docs, all around the options and I don't see anyhere to apply a ISO or re-write a OS.
"creating a VRM" read it top to bottom... ODDLY it never says how to pick a ISO or install a OS. It told me I had to have one
else it won't boot. But not how to install one.
Giving up unless I can get a solution here.
How do I install a ISO or OS on Virt-HD?

I just saw in a :NOT STARTING UP thread - we do this via the CDROM device. Will try that it did allow me to load a file.

I'm not sure how much clearer the manual would have to be. You install an OS in VirtualBox the same as you would in any other PC. Just happens that this is a virtual one not a physical one.

My crystal ball is currently broken. If you want assistance you are going to have to give me all of the necessary information.
Please don't ask me to do your homework for you, I have more than enough of my own things to do.

You must either be looking at the wrong manual, or in the wrong place. Because if you start reading it from the beginning, that's where it all is:RojoyInc wrote:I'm ' good. (well better than the manual)
- 1.2. Some terminology,
- 1.8. Creating your first virtual machine and
- 1.9. Running your virtual machine.
